| What Makes Our Office Special
I love seeing the changes orthodontic treatment can make in a patient's life, not just in his or her appearance but also in his or her confidence and self-image. I enjoy listening, talking, and guiding my patients to a new smile and building their confidence in the process. My staff and I get a great sense of accomplishment as a result of this. It is the mission of my practice to provide every patient with the best possible smile through uncompromising personalized service and orthodontic excellence.
I received my undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Wichita State University in 1978 and my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City in 1982. I was then commissioned in the United States Navy Dental Corps and served on active duty for eight years where I attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander. After my naval service, I attended the University of Pittsburgh where I received my orthodontic training. After graduating with a Master of Science degree in Dental Science from the University of Pittsburgh I moved to Winston-Salem.
I am active with organized dentistry and orthodontics and maintain affiliations with many national, regional, and state dental organizations. I will also be the president of the North Carolina Association of Orthodontists from 2013 to 2014.
I live in Winston-Salem with my wife and our two sons. In my free time, I enjoy watching my sons play lacrosse, fishing, boating, and upland bird hunting with my German Shorthaired pointers.
